To identify emerging issues, promote excellence and encourage collaboration and adoption of best practice in scholarly teaching and learning across the Division, consistent with the mission and objectives of the University;
To advise the Dean and the departments on developments in teaching and learning;
To develop quality assurance process relating to Teaching and Learning within the Division develop a Teaching and Learning Strategic Plan for the Division for internationalisation, flexible learning and staff development;
To monitor the teaching and learning plans of the Division and the Departments and to liaise with and have input to the TLC of the university;
To develop teaching and learning strategies, policy and practices across the division that support the needs of international students;
To advise the Library, Registrar, International Office, CFL, CPD and OFM on the Division's plans and activities in relation to teaching and learning;
To advise the Dean on student learning outcomes and on student support services related to teaching and learning; and
To provide recommendations to the Dean regarding nominations for Divisional teaching awards, and encourage, mentor and coordinate nominations for external teaching awards.
